(DOTHAN, Ala.) On August 19,2024, Dothan Police investigators arrested Adam Scott Moore (40) of Dothan for Rape 2nd degree and Traveling to Meet a Minor for Sex after juvenile disclosed inappropriate sexual relationship. The victim, who is under the age of 16, had arrived home, and it was discovered an inappropriate conversation through an online communications platform with Moore. After a forensic interview, the juvenile disclosed the sexual relationship.
On August 19, 2024, Dothan Police responded to the 200 block of Grand Villa Drive. Officers met with the juvenile’s guardian who described inappropriate messages with someone who looked too old for the relationship. The juvenile was taken to the Child Advocacy Center for a forensic interview where she described a sexual relationship with Moore. Officers located Moore at his residence and interviewed him at the Dothan Police Department. During an interview, Moore admitted to the sexual relationship.
Moore admitted to picking the juvenile up from her residence and going back to his residence. While at the residence, Moore and the juvenile engaged in sexual activity. As a result, Moore was charged with Rape 2nd degree and Traveling to Meet a Minor for Sex. Moore was placed in the Houston County Jail with a bond of $90,000.
Due to the age of the victim and the ongoing investigation, no further information will be made available.
