The Dothan Police Department is proud to offer the Rape and Aggression Defense course for women and girls ages 12 and up. This is a 12-hour course that includes classroom instruction and practical application of the techniques. The course is broken up into segments and taught over multiple days. There is currently no fee to enroll in a course.
Students can expect discussions on existing dangers and self-defense techniques suitable for women of all ages and abilities. The class is designed to give practical responses to women during various levels of confrontation, from passive verbal comments to severe aggressive acts.
Classes are open to the public but require registration through the Community Service Division of the Dothan Police Department. You may register for the class online when available or contact us at (334) 615-3690 for more information. Persons who are registered will be advised of the class schedule and location.
