Sex Offender Accountability Program (SOAP)
A proactive effort is made by members of the Dothan Police Department, including criminal investigators and patrol officers, to meet with sex offenders about once a month in their residence. This effort is made to ensure compliance with the Community Notification Act and detect non-compliance more quickly than would otherwise be possible.
