On 9/22/2017, Officers respomded to the City of Dothan Utility Collections building on N. Saint Andrews. St. on a call involving a customer who had become frustrated and stated that he was going to come back and “blow up” the building. Patrol stopped the subject nearby and called out Investigators who interviewed James Ray Morrell (59) and charged him with Terrorist Threat. His bond was set at $5,000.00.
Counterfeit Currency Arrest
After an extended investigation into counterfeit currency passed in May, and a subsequent search warrant, Investigators arrested Evester Tharp Jr (35) on five counts of Possession of a Forged Instrument 1st Degree. His bonds totaled $100,000.00.

Arrest: Possession of Altered Firearm
On 9/15/2017, Stevie Deshaun Jones (29) was detained in the 700 block of Ashland Drive as Officers attempted to locate a separate individual on a probation related charge. As Officers dealt with Jones, it was discovered that he had a pistol in his waistband that had the serial numbers removed. Jones was arrested for Possession of Firearm After Identification Altered. His bond was set at $2,500.00.

Burglary 3rd Arrest
On 9/8/2017 Lester Lamarcus Magwood was arrested for Burglary 3rd. The offense occurred on 9/7/2017 at Canton House of 1905 East Main Street. His bond was set at $15,000.00.

Forgery 2nd and Obstructing Justice Using a False Identity Arrests
On 9/7/2017, Whitney Badari Flowers (40) was arrested for Forgery 2nd and Obstructing Justice Using a False Identity after it was determined that, on 8/24/2017, he used a relatives identity to avoid being arrested for a warrant with the Alabama Department of Corrections. Bond was set at $15,000.00 on each count.

Burglary 3rd Arrest
On 9/7/2017, Julian Lamar Hill (34) was arrested for a residential burglary which occurred in the 300 block of Stephens Street on 8/29/2017. His bond was set at $5,000.00.

Burglary and Criminal Mischief 1st Arrests
On September 4th, Almanzo Reail Ousley (37) was arrested for Burglary 3rd stemming from a call involving a stolen coin box forcefully removed from a dryer at Summer Tree Apartments. The pursuant investigation led to additional charges of Criminal Mischief 1st and Possession of Burglars Tools on a case involving the forceful removing of a coin counter from a vending machine in the 1100 block of Montgomery Highway. Bonds were set at $10,000.00, $2,500.00 and $2,500.00 respectively.

Burglary 3rd and Unlawful Breaking and Entering of a Vehicle Arrest
On 9/5/2017, Patrol Officers responded to a call involving a burglary and theft of a firearm from a vehicle in the 1000 block of Wheat Street. Julian Lamar Hall was arrested on scene and charged with Burglary 3rd and Unlawful Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle with bonds set at $10,000.00 on each count.

Arrest Made in Firearm Assault
On 9/2/2017, Patrol Division responded to the 800 block of East Selma on a firearm assault call. The victim of the assault had been shot once in the thigh and was transported for treatment. The suspect was identified quickly and a BOLO was issued, leading to the apprehension of Mandrell Rashawn Baxter. Baxter was charged with Assault 2nd and his bond was placed at $15,000.00.

Burglary 2nd Degree Arrest
On 8/31.2017, Zalika Tytianna Lashay Durry was arrested for Burglary 2nd Degree. Charges stem from a call in the 800 block of Dellwood in which Durry is alleged to have forced her way into a residence and assaulted the resident. Bond is set at $5,000.00.
