On 9/7/2017, Julian Lamar Hill (34) was arrested for a residential burglary which occurred in the 300 block of Stephens Street on 8/29/2017. His bond was set at $5,000.00.

On September 4th, Almanzo Reail Ousley (37) was arrested for Burglary 3rd stemming from a call involving a stolen coin box forcefully removed from a dryer at Summer Tree Apartments. The pursuant investigation led to additional charges of Criminal Mischief 1st and Possession of Burglars Tools on a case involving the forceful removing of a coin counter from a vending machine in the 1100 block of Montgomery Highway. Bonds were set at $10,000.00, $2,500.00 and $2,500.00 respectively.

On 9/5/2017, Patrol Officers responded to a call involving a burglary and theft of a firearm from a vehicle in the 1000 block of Wheat Street. Julian Lamar Hall was arrested on scene and charged with Burglary 3rd and Unlawful Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle with bonds set at $10,000.00 on each count.

On 9/2/2017, Patrol Division responded to the 800 block of East Selma on a firearm assault call. The victim of the assault had been shot once in the thigh and was transported for treatment. The suspect was identified quickly and a BOLO was issued, leading to the apprehension of Mandrell Rashawn Baxter. Baxter was charged with Assault 2nd and his bond was placed at $15,000.00.

On 8/31.2017, Zalika Tytianna Lashay Durry was arrested for Burglary 2nd Degree. Charges stem from a call in the 800 block of Dellwood in which Durry is alleged to have forced her way into a residence and assaulted the resident. Bond is set at $5,000.00.

On August 30th 2017, Investigators arrested Dejarvous Walker Glenn (21) for the murder of Marcell Arline, which occurred on August 23rd in the 800 block of McKay Street. At the time of the offense, Glenn was serving time in Houston County Community Corrections for Discharging a Firearm Into an Occupied Building . Glenn has been booked into the Dothan City Jail on one count of Capital Murder and currently has no bond. This arrest is the result of hundreds of man hours involving dozens of statements and interviews. The case is still being investigated and there are indications that there may have been more people involved in the planning, carrying out and aftermath of the crime. On August 29th, the Police Department responded to an armed robbery at the Shell station in the 5800 block of West Main Street. As Investigators followed leads, information was developed leading to the identity of the suspect, Jonathan Chase German (28). As this information was being developed, the suspect committed another robbery in Houston County on West Main at Bay Springs. Investigators from both departments exchanged information and began an intensive search for the suspect. At approximately 2100 hours, the suspect was located on East Main Street in Dothan and taken to the Police Department for questioning. After questioning, it was determined that German’s girlfriend, Erica Conard (28) was an accomplice in the robbery which occurred in Dothan. Both suspects were arrested for Robbery 1st Degree for the Dothan Robbery and German was charged by the Houston County Sheriffs Office with one count of Robbery 1st Degree in the Bay Springs robbery. Our thanks to the Houston County Sheriffs Office for their assistance in this case.

On 8/28/2017, Patrol responded to a strong-arm robbery call in the 100 block of South Foster. It was determined that the suspect, Roy Riley Jr. (51), took an iPhone from the victim and attempted to also take money before fleeing. Riley was charged with one count of Robbery 3rd. His bond was placed at $15,000.00.

On 8/27/2017, Patrol responded to the 2100 block of Denton Rd on an Assault call. Once on scene, it was determined that, in the process of trying to take possession of a dog from the victim, Waylon Barnett (24) used an edged weapon to assault the victims friend who was attempting to help her. The injuries were not considered to be life threatening. Barnett was arrested for Robbery 1st and Assault 2nd a short time later. Bonds were set at $60,000.00 and $15,000.00 respectively.

On 8/24/2017, Officers responded to a shots fired call in the 700 block of North Range. Upon arrival, Officers found evidence of a firearm assault and later found the victim at SAMC with a gunshot wound to his thigh. The suspect, Sonny Atavia Flowers (22) was located and interviewed before being arrested on the charge of Assault 1st Degree. His bond was set at $30,000.00.
