On 08/08/2017 an off-duty officer observed two individuals handling narcotics while they were sitting in a parked car in the 2100 block of Ross Clark Circle. Officers with the patrol division made contact with the individuals a short time later. narcotics were found in the vehicle and a Vice investigator was called to the scene.
Investigators have arrested and charged 27 year old James Tillman Fox and 40 year old Shanna Leanne Jones, both of 2900 block Ross Clark Circle, with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Synthetic). Bond was set at $1,500 on both suspects.
All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
On 08/08/2017 officers were the patrol division were dispatched to an assault in progress in the 3100 block of Montgomery Highway. Upon arrival they made contact with one of the individuals involved in the assault. It was determined that the individual had alias warrants with the City of Dothan. After the individual was taken into custody for the warrants officers found him to be in possession of narcotics.
Investigators have arrested and charged 47 year old Gary Lamar Culver, of main Street Columbia, with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine). His bond has been set at $5,000.

On 08/08/2017 officers with the patrol division made contact an individual in the 800 block of Walnut Street while conducting a warrant check. Officers found the individual to be in possession of narcotics at the time. A Vice Investigator was called to the scene to investigate.
Investigators have arrested and charged 33 year old Larry Christopher Ingram, of Walnut Street with Drug Trafficking (Synthetic) and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine). Ingram also had traffic warrants with the City of Dothan. Ingram’s bonds total $550,000.

On August 7th 2017, Earney Wayne Carpenter was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 1st Degree (US Currency) for an incident which occurred at 3090 Denton Road. His bond was set at $30,000.00.

On August 7th 2017, Jeremy Bernard Thompson (30) was arrested for Domestic Violence by Strangulation for an incident which occurred on the same date in the 800 block of Williams Avenue. His bond was set at $30,000.00.

On August 7th, Kevin Michael Griffin (51) was arrested for Burglary 2nd for an incident that occurred in the 4400 block of West Main Street. When confronted by Patrol Officers, Griffin attempted to flee by striking an Officer. Due to that incident, Griffin was also charged with Assault 2nd Degree. Bonds were set at $20,000.00 and $15,000.00 respectively.

After an extensive investigation into multiple cases, spanning two months, Tierney Tranieye English (23) and Derek Dewayne Moore (27) were arrested on 56 counts each of Unlawful Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle. The cases involved the theft of batteries from vehicles parked at automotive repair businesses. Bonds were set at $5000,.00 on each count. The investigation is ongoing and additional cases are likely.

On 8/4/2017, Darius Butler (24) was arrested on twelve counts of Possession of Forged Instrument 1st Degree (US currency). The incident occurred at Freemans Shur Valu on East Main Street. Bond was set at $5,000.00 on each count.

On 8/3/2017, Patrol Officers responded to a suspicious person call in the 2900 block of the Circle. Lawrence fled the scene in a stolen car, striking two cars, one being a patrol car, and narrowly missing an Officer attempting to confront him. The vehicle was recovered abandoned but a Crime Scene Technician was able to connect Lawrence to the vehicle through a fingerprint.
